PAM AWARD 2016
Multiple Residential Low Rise, Commendation Award: Tanduk 5 Residences, Kuala Lumpur.
Tanduk 5 Residences is comprised of 5 individual houses along a quiet residential street in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Together these five residences form a niche high end development with a modern, clean line, uncluttered architectural language. The houses stand out amidst the eclectic collection of individually owned residences in the neighborhood. In order to address the formidable challenge of breaking down the massing of the 4 storey house, the bottom 2 levels of the house have been articulated as a solid rectangular “base”.

SUSTAINABLE HOME DESIGNS HERE TO STAY
“The trend of designing a home in the past, present and the future.”
We were invited by Circuit Communications, the appointed PR agency of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) to participate in BFM – The property Show (local radio show in Malaysia) for the topic which was very relevant to our company’s works. For the first time, we got to present on a local radio show to talk about our company’s design philosophy & inspiration, “green home & sustainable design”. Lastly we expressed that we do not like to have a “time/ date tag” on the houses that we do. Our homes are usually “clean & uncluttered modern architectural language.” We believe that “simplicity” is timeless.

TV SHOW ON 18/1 (MONDAY): RENOVATE/ ASTRO NAURA CHANNEL 109/ 930PM-10PM
DESA HOUSE – This was a typical semi detached home from 1970’s in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The renovation work included the façade enhancement and spaces reconfiguration. The existing structures for the house were kept and we introduced a bolder “envelope” to wrap around them in order to have brand new architectural façade. New public spaces were located to face the semi covered swimming pool.
